Btw, shouldn't Surprise's Cutie Mark be different? Not an expert on previous generations, but...
Either way I cannot say how the show would turn out in this lineup, but personally I can't image them being better... no offense to the gang above, but the "party animal" of the group being a pegasus would rid the character of her randomness (if ever so slightly), while taking the shy one's wings makes her too down to earth IMO
Plus, there's still the most important fact - Applejack doesn't have her hat
I know that Applejack didn't originally had a hat... I actually watched the first episode of teh G1 MLP (as far as my info goes, that's the only one she appeared in ^^') and she had no hat either... which just goes to prove that change is good
